When looking over your healthy grocery list a few items stood out. Frozen fish sticks, frozen waffles, prepackaged pancake mix, crackers and cookies…. Is this list specifically for shopping at health food stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joes? I live in an area with neither of those stores. Just wondering what kind of fish sticks and cookies you would recommend to a mom trying to shop better for her family. Thanks!
If this grocery list is your first look at Baby Bites, I can see where some of the items might be a little confusing. I tried to include items most parents regularly purchase. If you notice I suggest “whole grain” pancake mix and fish sticks with the least amount of ingredients. It would be easier to purchase these at a whole foods store. If you shop at a regular grocery store, find the most nutritious item available. The grocery list is just a starting point for purchasing whole foods. I don’t recommend using ANY mixes or packaged foods. Yet, I understand that most parents need a bridge to whole foods.
