It sounds strange, but a grout scraper for those stuck on messes. It's a little, hard, plastic tool with different shaped corners. Makes clean up a lot easier.

Carrie,
"Ruminating animals by the peculiar structure of their stomachs digest their food more fully than others. It is found that in the act of chewing the cud, a large portion of the poisonous properties of noxious plants eaten by them, passes off by the salivary glands. This power of secreting the poisonous effects of vegetables, is said to be particularly remarkable in cows and goats, whose mouths are often sore, and sometimes bleed, in consequence. Their flesh is therefore in a better state for food, as it contains more of the nutritious juices, is more easily digested in the human stomach, and is consequently more easily assimilated. Animals which do not chew the cud, convert their food less perfectly; their flesh is therefore unwholesome, from the gross animal juices with which they abound, and is apt to produce scorbutic and scrofulous disorders. But the animals that may be eaten are those which “part the hoof as well as chew the cud,” and this is another means of freeing the flesh of the animal from noxious substances."

Here's one about the horse:
The horse's (non-ruminant herbivore) gastrointestinal tract differs from that of cattle (ruminant). The horse's soft palate closes after it swallows food, trapping the food in the larynx. In addition, the horse has muscular contractions in the esophagus that only go in a downward direction. Unlike cattle, the horse cannot reverse the direction of esophageal contractions. The cardiac sphincter muscle closes tightly when food enters the stomach and does not release, trapping food in the stomach. Therefore, horses cannot regurgitate their food and chew it again like cattle can."

I am confused the horse has a very complex digestive system and does only eat vegetation. Now I am a horse lover and could not eat horses. However I am confused becuase the Horse does have a complex two stomach system like the cows and goats. They do not eat anything routing and it makes them sick to do so.

Thank you so much for this information. I have grandchildren (one living with us) who take great delight in cleaning out my refrigerator and pantry by looking for dates on the packages. Things as recent as two weeks past due have been known to land in the trash (only to be retreaved by a scotch grandma!). I will refer them to you -- a higher authority!!

You really make it seem really easy with your presentation however
I in finding this matter to be really one thing that I believe I'd never understand. It seems too complex and very large for me. I am looking ahead to your subsequent put up, I'll attempt to get the cling of it!

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this site. It's simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it's very hard to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say that you've done a great job with this.
In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Safari. Exceptional Blog!
