About Nonna Joann

About the Baby Bites® Author

Nonna in Office

Nonna* Joann Bruso began her writing career over thirty years ago with a monthly nutrition column. After the demands of raising children lessened, she worked full-time editing the Colorado Christian News. It seems fitting that Nonna Joann has returned to the topic of healthy eating. Nonna Joann’s passion for nutrition and whole foods comes from her foundation in Yeshua (Jesus), the Torah made flesh. Her passion flows from the knowledge that God gave us self-healing bodies, when we give it the nutrients it’s designed to have. Research shows that many of the diseases afflicting families can be prevented and even reversed with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Her prayer is that all children will learn to love their veggies, taking the first step to a lifetime of good health.

On the Baby Bites® blog site, she serves up oodles of food fun and hot kitchen tips, with a generous helping of sizzling nutrition news. She frequently speaks to teacher, mom and parent groups.

Nonna Joann and her husband of over 45 years, Dick, make their home outside of Denver, Colorado. They have four grown daughters and nine grandchildren.
